On the first day of Christmas we heralded a drone…buzz buzz buzz buzz…
On the second day of Christmas we talked reality…virtual, augmented and mixed…
On the third day of Christmas we tightened up on Slack…teams and workplace…

On the fifth day of Christmas we tackled IoT…Space! The Final Frontier!…
On the sixth day of Christmas we got our bots on…chat, scheduling and commerce…
On the seventh day of Christmas we swoon over iPhoneX…dawn or a sunset…
On the eighth day of Christmas we quake at autonomous vehicles…private, freight and drone…
On the ninth day of Christmas we hail the end of money…utopia…
On the tenth day of Christmas we trumpeted machine learning…evidence-led meritocracy awaits…
And finally, we have reached the twelfth day and the #1 spot in our Christmas Disruption. Today we’re decentralising everything and hailing the new era of Blockchain: singularly the most fundamental restructuring of the financial system, creating an entirely new decentralised architecture that evolves and replaces the current system that underpins the entire global economy and thus everything that springs forth from it. Which is just about everything: good and bad.
It has been a good year for blockchain, so many banks and institutions getting on board. How to begin to list them? Too many. Just type Banks & Blockchain into Google and you’ll see. And 2017 is going to be huge for Blockchain.
The impact is already being felt as industries around contracts, insurance, money and more all smarten up and get down with the distributed way of Blockchain thinking.
Fundamentally, at its core, Blockchain provides a far more robust, incorruptible and impenetrable (albeit not perfect of course) and thus more fraud-averse way of asset management and it could literally be anything that is an asset. So think about everything your business considers an asset: being managed better, purchased better, sold better, devolved, developed and evolved better, defended better and so on.
How might Blockchain impact on your business? And trust me, it will.
And just because we’ve reached #1 doesn’t mean this is the end of our series. Christmas eve we’ll have a summary post and Christmas Day we’ll reveal the one that got away that we predict will be pushing for the #1 spot next year. But what could it be?
